In the fall of 2018 I started experimenting with torn paper collage. I wanted to create some large pieces of art for my home, and after seeing a calendar with images done in collage, I found myself attracted to this medium. After completing two 30” x 40” floral abstracts on stretched canvases, I decided on this scene of the salt marsh haystacks near where I live. Most of my work beyond the initial thumbnail is done intuitively. I like to remain open to changes that may occur along the way that lead me down a totally different creative path than the one I had initially envisioned. This is the joy of living in the moment, adjusting your thoughts and movements to the energy that flows through you.
